General
Description
Lots of manufacturers build
quality, high-end sportcruisers, but only a few reach the standards of engineering
and finish consistently attained by Tiara. In the Sovran 4400, Tiara has delivered
a yacht of remarkable luxury and design sophistication. Not inexpensive, the Sovran's
handsome styling is highlighted by her fully integrated hardtop, graceful sheer,
and slightly reversed transom. Focusing on comfort and function, the posh two-stateroom
interior of the Sovran 440 offers a luxurious blend of satin finished teak woodwork,
Corian counters, and Ultraleather seating. The large salon settee seats five and
is served by a bird's eye maple table. Each stateroom has an ensuite head, and
a washer/dryer combo is concealed in the aft stateroom. Topside, an impressive
Stidd helm seat can be raised or lowered electrically. A L-lounge is opposite
the helm, and fore and aft facing seats and a pair of hydraulically operated high/low
tables are found in the cockpit. The Sovran's extended swim platform is large
enough to accommodate a dinghy or PWC.
Actual Condition
It is reported
that the boat was run aground on a sandy bottom. Both struts were pushed up through
the bottom. The hull damage has been professionally repaired. The engines, transmissions,
shafts, and props are out of the boat while the cockpit repairs are being completed.
The interior needs repair and cleaning. The repairs are proceeding and the selling
price will depend on the stage of repair at the time of the sale.
