General Description
Africat is currently being hailed as one of the best quality and performing power Cats on the market. These vessels have high quality finishes, along with luxury and quality that ensures this power catamaran to stand out from the pack.

Mid salon there are mirror image stairways that lead down into the hulls. Three wide stairs with courtesy lights and grab handles invite you into the accommodation area. In the three-cabin owner's version the two guest staterooms on the port side are identical to the four-cabin version.

However, in the starboard hull the owner's stateroom reigns. Fit for a king or queen, this cabin
has hanging lockers and drawer space galore. Aft, at the foot of the king-sized bed is a vanity/dressing table with a long mirror and a seat. The entire cabin can be closed off from the salon for maximum privacy.

Actual Condition

Hull number 17 of the Afri Cat 420 series power catamaran, with twin Volvo IPS 500 drive systems each with counter-rotating propellers and electronic engine and drive controls. Interior layout includes an owner’s stateroom with head in the starboard hull; two staterooms and head in port hull; large salon with U-shaped galley, large dinette, nav. center.

Equipment includes a Village Marine 600 GPD Watermaker, reverse cycle AC, davit on the foredeck. Hull & deck construction is molded fiberglass with balsa sandwich core material, solid fiberglass below the waterline.

The vessel was holed in the area of the starboard Volvo IPS drive unit, and was partially submerged to near the mid of the salon as it rested on the bottom in shallow water. The flying bridge and davit on the foredeck were reportedly not submerged. Following the loss, all holding and potable water tanks were emptied and the interior and exterior cleaned and detailed. Soiled cushions and coverings were discarded.

The electronic/navigation equipment on the flying bridge was undamaged and immediately removed for safekeeping; complete with (2) Raymarine E120 multifunction units, Raymarine autopilot, Ray 240 VHF, Volvo Penta engine readouts, radar array, inlayed table, cushions, 12VDC panelboard, windlass and remote spot/flood light control, Panasonic DVD deck and (5) speakers, Raymarine ST 60 multi and AWI, compass, cushions, various other accessories. Some of the wiring was cut short during removal and may need to be remade.

All electric, electronic, and navigation components and associated wiring below the top of the salon were submerged. This would include all pumps, reverse cycle units, watermaker, 120VAC & 12VDC appliances, complete shore power systems, 120VAC & 12VDC panelboards, all lighting, batteries, inverters, shore power systems, fire, LPG systems, etc. Submerged navigation equipment includes (1) Raymarine E120 multifunction unit, other repeater instrumentation (separate from the fly bridge), various processors and transducers. The salon/cockpit door was broken out by the movement of water through the cabin area. It is reported this has been replaced with a temp plywood door with hasp and lock.

Equipment
A trailer is not included in this sale.
