General
Description
The
42 Chris Craft Commander had a long production run
(1970-90) under different model names. She was thoroughly
redesigned in 1985 as
the 422 with a new house, enlarged fly-bridge, teak
interior and other changes.
Actual Condition
It is reported by the owner that the boat had water
intrusion due to a faulty exhaust. Just completing
four years of "over the
top" re-fit. Complete Imron paint job.
Complete new interior and instrumentation. 3 new A/C
units. New windlass, battery chargers, water heater,
head, water pumps, water and holding tanks, cutlass
bearings, pss shaft seals, upholstery and bridge seats,
fuel lines, exhaust system, and fighting chair. This
is the finest 422 out there with over $350K invested.
Work was performed by Eriksen Marine.

It
is reported by the owner that the boat has:
- $18K Raymarine electronics package. Full tuna tower
with outriggers.
- Microcommander controls (3 stations).
- 32" Sony Hi definition flat screen and new
high output stereo system.

we receive unverified information regarding mechanical
condition. It is reported by the owner, not Certified
Sales, Inc. that: "The engine compartment was
submerged. She was re-fitted with fresh, low hour
(350 hours) Johnson and Towers Detroit 671s producing
485hp (1993 motors, rebuilt in 2003). They are supercharged,
inter-cooled, and turbocharged...all 3! Engine(s)
rebuild job cost $35K."
