Largest boat in the Chris Craft fleet at the turn of the millennium, the 328 Express Cruiser (called 320 Express in 1998-99) is a contemporary mid-cabin family cruiser whose moderate price will appeal to budget-minded buyers.
Chris Craft enthusiasts haven't had much to cheer about in recent years when it comes to well-styled boats, but the 328 combines several nice design touches wrapped up in a conservative but still-contemporary package. She's constructed on a solid fiberglass deep-V hull with a wide beam, and her centerline helm position (as opposed to the traditional starboard side console) is somewhat unique.
Below deck, the mid-cabin floorplan is very spacious for a boat this size. The layout is fairly conventional with double-berths fore and aft, a small galley and a head with shower. The Crowne's anchor arrangement is pretty slick, a concealed windlass lowers the self-stowing anchor through an opening beneath the bow.
Additional features include; a walk-through windshield, an electric engine compartment hatch, and transom door. Among several engine options, Twin 5.7-liter Volvo I/Os cruise at 22 knots (mid 30s top).
It is reported that this Chris Craft was damaged from grounding. The interior looks great however, there are a few cushions missing in the stern. The starboard engines' manifold was removed and shows corrosion (review photos). The engines where not inspected further. Open Bid!!
