do you need to do to view the Salvage Boats?
You can either:
1.
Go to our Website Listings on YachtSalvage.com. We have
all active boat listings on our website. Included is a general
description and photos showing the condition of the boat
at the time of the photos.
2.
or you can visit
the Yard where the boat is stored. You will need a special
release form to view the boat. Please call, fax
or email your request to view the boat. We will fax or email
the release form and address of the Yard to you. Complete
the form and fax it back to us. Bring the original form
with you to view the boat.
Where
are the boats located?
Click
on "Listings" and the State where each boat is
located will be shown. Click on an individual boat you are
interested in and the City and State location is shown.
Follow the instructions above to receive the street address.
How
can you buy a Salvage Boat?
We
have an open and competitive bid process to sell the boats.
To be part of the auction on a particular vessel you only
need to:
q click on "Bid" at the top of the Listing page.
Download the form* and fill it out completely. Fax the form
to us and mail the original with a 'good faith' deposit
check immediately. Follow the instructions on the bid form
on how to compute the 'good faith' deposit amount. Once
we receive the faxed bid form you are registered for that
particular auction. If we haven't received the original
form and your check when the auction starts you will not
be able to participate.
q The boat is listed on the website for approximately 4-6
weeks or until a sufficient number of registered participants
can be compiled. Each bidder will then be contacted individually
and advised what the current high bid is. You either go
higher or drop out of the auction. We will continue calling
each bidder until all have dropped out except the winning
high bidder. The auction process usually takes no more than
2-3 days.
