90' De Haas Shipyard 1963 - North Sea Trawler - YS210174
General Description
Originally built in Rotterdam, Holland in 1963, as a fishing trawler, then converted into an expedition yacht, This 78' LWL, 90' LOL, vessel was finally converted to be used as an uninspected passenger vessel (UPV) carrying no more than (12) passengers aboard at any given time. She saw many a wonderful excursion, including the Arctic.
Actual Condition
This vessel suffering from recent neglect. She will need a lot of updating, general work, heavy cleaning, lots of sanding and painting, some superstructure replating, welding, and all-around general TLC.
She was moved, under her own power, from Boston to Gloucester MA in December 2020 at which time she was hauled for bottom cleaning, ultrasound, 32 double zincs bolted on, and bottom painted. She was put back in the water in January 2021 and has been in the water since. She has not been maintained since.
This is a heavily built, sea going vessel, that had the capacity for long extended ocean voyages. The potential is there to bring her back to life for local or far off ventures. She is a fabulous platform to start from, for any maritime project lover. She is now available for viewing in the Boston area by scheduled appointment only. Please inspect carefully and make your bid.

Engine(s) Condition
The vessel is fitted with her original "Brons Industrie" (Dutch built) diesel engine. The engine reportedly has a HP rating of 500@370RPM. Hours are unknown.
